Ted running Toby through the jumps during class Saturday. Trying to keep the right shoulder back while moving forward is very hard for me, but Ted got it right away. |
Toby just needs someone competent telling him what to do. He's that smart. His memory puts mine to shame too.
Ted built us two jumps and Deborah loaned us a third jump and a cone. So we have a little mini-practice-course in the back yard!
If it gets to be too summery out back, we can practice inside. I call Toby down the steps; right before he gets to the end I call "bottom!" and he's supposed to stop with his front feet on the floor and back feet on the last step. He's getting pretty good at it. This is for when we graduate to a piece of equipment called a frame.
But the outdoor practice is the most fun. It's a happy way to spend a little time outside on these beautiful summer days. Toby thinks it's a blast, as you can tell from the video.

ReplyDeleteThat looks like fun. At least Marcus thinks so. The rest of us think it looks like nap time.
