Humans aren't alone in feeling "snuggly". Or looking snuggly. Or just hanging out with their friends.
I took all of these photos at the Virginia Zoo, where I'm a docent. From top:
Suzy and Rungus (binturongs)
Bongo family
Meerkats
Mramba (lion)
Schnitz (orangutan)
Hitam and Lola (siamang gibbons)
Bali, Lola, Hitam (siamang gibbon family)
52 Snapshots of Life is a photo challenge from The Lazy Pit Bull. Anyone can join in! Each week is a new word prompt to spark creativity.
Great photos, I luffs to snuggles!!!

Great photos I love the orangutan such an expression
ReplyDeleteHe's one of my favorites, and he loves his blankie.
DeleteAfter what happened to Cecil I can barely look at this. It breaks my heart.
ReplyDeleteMe too Caren. I could hardly sleep last night. And the book I'm reading is making it worse (Beyond Words by Carl Safina). In fact I decided that I'm done with Facebook and the news for today. I just can't hear any more about it today.
DeleteThe lion and meerkats are adorable.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I agree. Mramba's mate is Zola, and the keepers say he follows her like a big pussycat and does whatever she says :) They have so much personality!
DeleteOh, it must be so rewarding to be a docent at the zoo. (The Cecil news is so distressing. I took Jimmy Kimmel's advice and donated to help with conservation. Hopefullly SOMETHING good can come from this. Thinking that is the only way I can stand to think about the whole thing.)
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy it. I go once or twice a week most weeks. I do a lot of education programs for school groups, but I love trail hosting too, especially when visitors ask questions or just want to chat as they observe the animals. Thanks for donating to help with conservation. I'm doing that too and hoping all of the people commenting online are doing the same.
DeleteFantastic photos
ReplyDeleteThat must be so much fun! Spending time with all kinds of animals, and observing their behavior, must be fascinating.
