Water that's rolling, eternal, mysterious.
Water that's rushing,
after falling from above,
or fizzing and boiling,
up from under Earth's crust.
Water for paddling,
rippling green and gold.
Water for drinking,
icy and cold.
Water for splashing,
such a joy to behold.
Water in mountains, deep, pure, and clear.
Water in fountains, to lend city cheer.
It promises life, whether frozen or vapor.
Without it, no life ever can be here for us to savor.
