Sundays At The Botanical Garden With Toby

The Norfolk Botanical Garden is raising money for the Norfolk Animal Care and Adoption Center by letting the Garden "go to the dogs". Every Sunday in September, dogs pay a $5 donation to walk their people in the lush expanses of flowers and trees. 

So yesterday we enjoyed this rare treat of spending a sunny afternoon walking Toby in a special place.

It's a garden and art museum in one, with statuary throughout 175 acres, manicured and natural.

Many of the 12 miles of paths border waterways. The Garden offers boat rides through the canal flowing through the park.

 We hope to do it again next week - there's no way to see the whole Garden in one visit!
