…right after dog treats. We have a few fish too. An almost-full can of fish food went into Toby's gullet last week. *sigh* |
So, as the first group became chrysalises, the second was voracious with a lot of growing to do. I was worried about our four little milkweeds having enough leaves for them!
Our decimated milkweeds made it to the finish line - barely. |

I have a special fondness for the monarch as I had one in grade 3:)
ReplyDeleteThat's such a nice memory and made a big impression obviously!
Deletei don't think i'd get any work done if those guys were at my house. i'm fascinated by the process and i'd want to be watching them all day. thanks so much for sharing.
ReplyDeletewags, bailey unleashed
That's pretty much how it's been. I'm worried sick for them right now - we moved them outside in anticipation of hatching and it's rained nonstop for 2 days. Fingers crossed.
Deleteit's great to watch this phenomenon via your blog :o) you eat fish food Toby? really? I ate chicken food once, boy that was an adventure LOL
ReplyDeleteEwww, that must have been interesting. So far nothing I've eaten has ever bothered my tummy - fish food, walnut oil, 6 raw chicken breasts, 1 1/2 pumpkin pies, 3 dozen cookies, a whole loaf of bread…it all just makes me so happy. Doesn't make my people happy though. They're just weird. Your pal, Toby
DeleteOh how exciting to have the Monarch's to watch.
ReplyDeleteMOLMOL Toby I hope you didn't grow gills after you ate fishie food
