I'll help! Which page is New York on? |
Our son finished his internship at the United Nations and needed transportation home, giving us the perfect excuse to visit NYC for the first time!
So I'm sharing a few of the black and white photos I took of the cityscape for the B&W Sunday Blog Hop.
9/11 Memorial |
Coast Guard Monument at Battery Park |
Freedom Tower |
St. Patrick's Cathedral |
Central Park (love the pigeons!) |
Rotunda of the Natural History Museum |
Brooklyn Bridge |
Lady Liberty |
And don't get me started on the amazing food… I don't think I'd want to live in NYC but it was lots of fun for a vacation.
Where should we go next? |
I have only been to NY City once and would love to go back. Your pictures are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you! We want to go back, just maybe not in August next time :) We want to see another Broadway show and didn't get nearly enough time at the Met.
DeleteHow FUN!!! NYC is a great city to visit. LOVE your photos. How about going to the West Coast :-) Golden Woofs SUGAR the Golden Retriever
ReplyDeleteHaha we love SoCal, lived in San Diego a long time ago. You are right, I need to go there for a visit, it's so beautiful.

ReplyDeleteYes it is, there's so much to do and see.
DeleteNYC is one of my favorite cities! Will be there in Sept and October!! Can't wait! DakotasDen
ReplyDeleteOh wow that's awesome, you'll have a great time! IF you want to see a show on Broadway and IF you haven't seen The Book Of Mormon, I can highly recommend it. It was incredible and so funny.
DeleteYour photos are SO fantastic! I just moved back to my NY home after nearly 10 years living in Phoenix. I've loved every one of the places you picture here and visited many times.... except the 9/11 memorial. I was still living in NY that day, I worked across the street from the trade center. It's been so many years but I still can't bring myself to visit the memorial, or to even get close. One day I'll be able to get myself there to see it and pay my respects to the people we lost there. Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos, I've missed NYC so much, I'm glad you enjoyed your visit. I love the photo of your dog w/ glasses, super cute pooch!!
ReplyDeleteLove & Biscuits,

Thank you! Yes I can definitely understand that you wouldn't feel comfortable going back to the memorial. How awful for you to have been there. We found the name of one of my husband's friends, he was a copilot on Flight 11. It meant a lot to him to see it and remember.
DeleteWhat a big change, Phoenix to NY! Have fun being back in your old stomping grounds.
Stunning shots! I've never been but it looks like a great place to visit :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, if you go, maybe don't go when it's quite so hot though! I'll bet springtime is nice there because you do a lot of walking.
DeleteStunning shots! I've never been but it looks like a great place to visit :)
ReplyDeleteI couldn't live in NY either, but it is a fantastic place to visit! I haven't been there in years. Thanks for sharing your fab photos! (Of course, I especially love the ones of Toby with the book of maps!)
ReplyDeleteHaha he didn't want to put his paw on the atlas, and then the glasses almost put it over the edge…but he'll do almost anything for his favorite treats :D
DeleteNY looks beautiful in black & white.
ReplyDeletei don't even remember my first visit to NYC. i was too overwhelmed and couldn't really enjoy it. now daughter #2 lives there so i can enjoy the city with a "local" at a much calmer pace.
