Made from scratch using just about every pot/appliance in the room:
1 batch of black bean burgers (recipe here)
1 batch of cole slaw
1 batch of oatmeal raisin cookies (recipe here)
1 pot of chili
1 batch of tabouli salad (recipe here)
Of course Toby kept watch for a chance to help by cleaning up anything that fell to the floor.
He looks a little glum because he's figured out that something is going on and he doesn't know what. He gets anxious that we're leaving and not taking him. It's too bad he can't understand when we tell him he's going camping too.
Guess he's tired too! |
It's also beautiful that after dinner tonight I'll be done cooking for a whole week :) and we can just enjoy our homemade treats.
This post is part of the monthly {This Moment: See Beautiful} blog hop, hosted by Golden Woofs. Join us and hop around to see all the beauty!
YUM YUM YUM!! And...I LOVE your kitchen! I am so jealous because mine is so small. I love to cook though! Not sure if it is just me, but the link to the tabouli (which I love) didn't work........could be me though. DakotasDen
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know! The link should be fixed. Have a great weekend!
DeleteOMD...Thanks for the recipes! Enjoy your camping trip!!
ReplyDeleteYou're very welcome. The burgers take some time but they're so good. And they freeze well so we get three dinners out of each batch.
DeleteHe'll be alright when he realises he's coming too,xx Speedy
ReplyDeleteYep he's totally relaxed now. Have a great weekend!
DeleteI like this idea, it is brilliant... and if we go for a trip I will prepare my food at home too! I think clean kitchens are really beautiful... I just tried it to get one, sadly that's not easy with Easy...
ReplyDeleteOh yes it's not easy to keep a kitchen clean. And it seems that as soon as the dishes are done we get hungry!
DeleteIt is so true that a clean kitchen is a beautiful (and rare!) thing. You have a lovely kitchen!
