When you have a very food-motivated dog like Toby, it's important to have small nutritious treats on hand. After Toby's Thanksgiving mischief (eating a whole pumpkin pie in about two minutes), I feared that he regained some of the weight he'd lost over the past year. So I asked Sydney at Chewy.com to let us try Zuke's Super Berry superfood dog treats.
"Why is she hiding the treats here - ohhhh, I get it. BOL!" |
They are made with oats for low gluten and no wheat, corn, or soy. The berry medley used is cranberry, blackberry, blueberry, cherry, and raspberry, considered superfoods. (New Year Resolution #1, I need to start making those blueberry-kale smoothies again.)
"Staying…staying…they smell yummy, but I'm staying…" |
Though it's not touted on the package, I'm impressed that turmeric, rosemary, and cinnamon are among the ingredients. These are herbs known to support good health. (Resolution #2: start adding turmeric to soups again.)
Zuke's says these little goodies are "Crazy Tasty". What does Toby think? See for yourself - he gulped the row for the photo shoot down, then went looking for more. He even remembered to see if the bag was still hanging in the fake grapevine!
Maybe it was the Zuke's Super Berry Treats combined with lots of activity - but Toby has not gained any weight over the holidays!
Resolution #3 - order another bag of Zuke's Super Berry Treats from Chewy.com. Because Chewy.com offers speedy delivery (free for orders over $49) and these treats are on sale there! Chewy.com is a one-stop place to find treats, toys, and pet care products for dogs and cats, and have them delivered right to your door.
"Give up, Vela! I've been eating Zuke's superfood treats!" |
Disclosure: I was given a bag of Zuke's Super Berry Treats from Chewy.com to try in return for an honest review.
I hope that hearing about healthy treats and a convenient, economical, and ethical company to order them from is of interest to readers of Terra Toby.
What a tasty way to ring in the new year. Wishing you all the best for 2016.
ReplyDeleteYummy! Happy New Year!

ReplyDeleteThose sound awesome - almost like a New Years gift for Toby! Alas, R can't eat any grains for health reasons so these are out for us - oats :(. Fortunately, there are lots of truly grain-free foods and treats around these days, including many Zukes ones!
ReplyDeleteWe tried these too and they were a huge hit! I like your resolutions.
