Not Exactly Roughing It…Yet!

Toby's pal Oz from Oz the Terrier has been showing pictures of himself at campsites in his QuikShade Pet Bed for some time now - click here to see one of his posts.

Meanwhile Toby gives us the stink-eye as he tries to relax after a hard day's hike on gravel, dirt, or worst of all, mud. 

I finally gave in and ordered Toby his very own camping bed. When Ted started making fun of me I reminded him that we now sleep in the tent on an inflatable queen-size mattress. I haven't heard any complaints about that being too unmanly for his wilderness adventures.

When the bed arrived we set it up in the house to try to get Toby used to sleeping in it. I enticed him onto it with a few treats and we even tried putting his regular bed on it. 

I think he got the wrong idea about what this bed is for.

I guess when it reappears in a campsite he'll realize he's supposed to be at least pretending to be roughing it!
