52 Snapshots of Life: "Black" and "Sleepy"

The 52 Snapshots of Life challenge "Black" proved challenging indeed. Struggling for an idea, I came up with turning Toby black via PicMonkey or the app ColorStrokes.

That's thirty minutes of my life I'll never get back. Guess what? It's not as easy as it sounds. So that idea was a dud.

The next day I did some volunteering at the zoo. As I spoke with visitors about my favorite zoo family, the siamang gibbons, it occurred to me that they are black - aha! No photo doctoring required. Luckily I had my phone and got a couple of quick pictures of them playing.

The next word for the photo challenge, "Sleepy", was easy when I spotted a binturong snoozing on a log later that same day. Binturongs smell like buttered popcorn, by the way.

52 Snapshots of Life is a year-long weekly photo challenge. The inspiration of The Lazy Pit Bull, it's open to all.  Use the link on the sidebar to the right. Join in the fun!

P.S. Don't forget to enter the "Favorite Things" Giveaway here at Terra Toby! It ends on Monday, August 31. Scroll down or click the link to the post at the top of the sidebar.

P.S.S. I just realized I missed the word "School". Guess I have some late homework to turn in :)

  2. Binturongs smell like buttered popcorn - what a great creature to curl up with while watching a movie - no nibbling allowed of coarse :)
