52 Snapshots of Life: Purple

"Purple" wasn't an easy prompt for the #52 Snapshots of Life weekly photo challenge. I don't wear purple, Toby has no purple collars or bandanas, and everything outside right now is gray, white, or brown.
National Wildlife Federation provided this photo with a link to ways of helping these endangered cuties. To see their post, click here.

I was stumped until I saw this monk seal on Facebook and thought of the purple painting of a monk seal I did recently. It's from a tutorial that was called "lilac love" and was supposed to feature a silhouette of a man and woman embracing knee-deep in the water. Maybe I'm an old grump, but that seemed kind of saccharine to me. I replaced the couple with a monk seal lounging on the sand, enjoying a dramatic purple Hawaiian sunrise.
