I'm a messy worker!
Ted gave me a lot of the supplies I needed to start learning to oil paint for Christmas. I'm doing online tutorials. So far I've tried lessons from Wilson Bickford, Marion Dutton, and Andrew Whyte. They've all been lots of fun, and most importantly I'm learning a lot of new techniques. Eventually my goal is to be able to create original paintings of my own.
When I get really into creating a drawing or painting time just seems to fly. "Getting in the zone" while doing something enjoyable is supposed to be really good for mental and physical health - something to do with stress relief!
I'm looking forward to visiting the other blogs on the hop now that my post is finished to see the creative things others have been doing.
Those are great. Clever mum. Have a marvellous Monday.

The paintings look great! I especially like the little bird one.
ReplyDeleteI think it looks lovely and so do your paintings!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to learn a new craft like painting! I can't wait to see some of the things you paint. That "zone" is a great thing, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteBelieve me your studio is much much much more cleaner and neater than mine =)
ReplyDeleteI love this post Amy! I am laughing for not thinking before I even clicked your link that you'd have an easy time with the create theme. I am as far from a crafty DIYer as they come so create was not as fun for me but I have now had vicarious fun through you! Thanks!
