    1. No it's pretty tricky. I have a lot more appreciation now though of what goes into the good photos I see on other blogs (including yours).

  2. Oh dear, Mum's got that confused look on her face! My photographer is of the 'point it and press the button' variety, *sigh*
(and yes that does explain why nearly all my photos are out of focus!)

    1. Well, the 'professor' for the course I'm doing is Joel Sartore, the world famous NatGeo photographer, and he says a point-and-shoot can get great pictures and he uses one himself sometimes. He says it's better to have a camera you'll actually carry and use than a fancier one that is sitting in the closet. And I've never thought your pics were out of focus :)

    1. Haha it's lots of fun so far…I'm a little worried about the outdoor assignments in the winter weather though. I hate the cold.

  5. One of my "things to do" this year is find a Meet Up Camera group. I need help with focus!

    1. BOL "focus" - that's a good one! A meet up group would be a blast. I don't know of anything like that here. Worth looking into.

    1. Toby replied: "It's a real pain. I have to stand right in front of her and stare at her until she comes out of her trance to get my treats. Plus she's putting that box in my face All The Time."
