Black & White Sunday: Snowy White

Our "snowmageddon"* was supposed to be rain. We were supposed to be a little green square in a continental sea of pink and blue on the radar maps. I was feeling sorta left out of all the excitement.

But - surprise! - we got snow after all!

*My brother-in-law texted us this observation: "Good luck in the 'snow-apocalypse'. We used to call it 'Winter'." So true.

Thank you to Dachshund Nola and Sugar the Golden Retriever for hosting the Black and White Blog Hop!

-If you're reading this, you're probably a very good photographer (I've noticed this about bloggers). I'd like to share a fun photo-sharing site that may be new to some. The National Geographic YourShot page offers a global forum. They have optional "Assignments" as a fun way to explore themes. Reading the editors' comments on their favorite photos is helping me understand what they think makes a good photo, especially in the area of composition. It's lots of fun. In addition to the general link, here's a link to my personal page if you're interested.

If you decide to create an account or already have one, I'd love to see it.
