Good Dogs Deserve: Good Buddy Treats Review

I am loving the Castor & Pollux's Good Buddy treats from Chewy.com.

Some of you know that Toby fights a never ending battle to control his weight. (Yes, yes I do know where the blame for that problem lies.)

Now the good news is that Toby has finally reached his goal weight and we are trying to adjust his diet to a maintenance level.

Toby is ONLY motivated by food so the standard advice to reward him with praise or a ball or a toy is not going to help us in the beginner agility class.  But giving him fatty treats every day for practice and during the class itself makes it difficult to calculate the amount he should be eating at meals.
"Ahem, don't you see me sitting so nicely? How long must I wait?"
So I was delighted by the size of these little soft training treats. They're big enough to be a reward but small enough to keep his calories down. They don't take any time to inhale, I mean swallow, either.

"STILL WAITING"
Good Buddy Treats are made in the USA. They're gluten- and grain-free and made with added vitamins and minerals. Toby loves them so I'm going to take that as his opinion that they taste good.

"Good dogs deserve good treats" is on the back of the bag. I have one suggestion for Castor & Pollux; I wish they would print the ingredients and calorie content in larger print. I had to get a magnifying glass to learn that the first 3 ingredients are turkey, potatoes, and peas (sounds like Thanksgiving dinner!)

Fun star shape!

If you are looking for a healthy training treat that won't slow you down during class or practice, I recommend visiting Chewy.com and trying Good Buddy Dog Treats.

"Finally!"

Disclaimer: I was given a bag of Castor & Pollux Good Buddy Dog Treats by Chewy.com in return for an honest opinion. No other compensation was given to me for writing this review.

  2. Boy, those are TINY, huh? Love the calorie-counting option, but you must really work on the soft mouth command. My pug is a gobbler, so I need treats that are slightly bigger. Otherwise, I'd have no fingers!

  5. Hi Y'all!

Since I have food allergies, among other allergies, and get allergy shots regularly, my Human was thrilled when she found fruitables that are only 3 calories. She found them from Chewy too.

Tell people with "gobbler dogs" to hold their hand flat as if they are feeding a treat to a horse. That's what my Human does with me and she's never lost a finger!

    Y'all come on back now,
