See Beautiful: Springtime Everyday Miracles

I saw a quote from Albert Einstein a few days ago and shared it to my Facebook page. He said, "There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle."

To me there are miracles all around. Not supernatural miracles, but natural ones. Some people feel that science takes the wonder and mystery out of the world. I disagree. To me, the more I learn about how the natural world works, the more miraculous it is.

As our region emerges from the nastiest winter in the past 18 years (since we have lived here), instead of whining and complaining, the plants and animals just go about their business, doing little miracles.

It's a miracle that:

…there are daffodils in the blink of an eye once the sun melts the snow and ice...

…and little irises too, popping up out of nowhere...
 It's a miracle that:

… pansies actually survived many single-digit nights buried under ice, blooms and all...

…and the birds did too! Now they're everywhere, courting with their funny dances, building nests, fattening up.

And as Jeanne Pursell of bichonpawz
assures us,
"Dogs really ARE miracles with paws!"

  2. isn't it just the best - you know growing up in Australia - we didn't really have any changing on the seasons - I will always remember when I first came to the USA and was amazed at how many shades of green there were, then spring time and fall - the colors still amaze me every year

  3. It’s still too cold here for anything to be growing out of the ground. There’s still snow.

In reply to the nice comment you left on my blog, we always do Photoshop our pics but on Foto Frenzy Fridays, we don’t. We show the fotos raw.
