Thoughtless Thursday: Zoo Studies

Today, Thoughtless Thursday, sponsored by Ruckus the Eskie, is a good day to talk about whatever is happening. I haven't mentioned drawing since sharing about nature journaling last year. For a while earlier this year I got discouraged, but I'm drawing again now.

I've started a series of drawings with information to try to learn about the Asian animals at the Virginia Zoo. Hopefully, eventually I will know enough to talk to visitors a bit about all of them.

Only three drawings in the series so far but it's a fair start.
This is Bernadette, who just had two babies a few weeks ago!

The Orangutans and Siamang Gibbons are the animals I know the most about - but they will also be the hardest to draw! So, not quite ready to tackle them yet!

What creative projects have you been up to lately?

  3. Oh, what neat drawings. Jan can't draw a straight line with a ruler but she loves to see other people's art work.

  4. You are such a talented artist. I can barely handle stick people once you get me away from computer graphics. Cannot wait to see your drawings of the Orangutans and Siamang Gibbons!
