Thankful Thursday: Thank You to Fidose of Reality and Tulane's Closet!

Toby was one of three winners of the Sleeping Dog Pajama Party, by Carol at Fidose of Reality! He won an impressively well-made, adjustable garment called Cover Me by Tui. This ingenious doggie pajama eliminates the need for the dreaded cone of shame after surgery. Here is Toby with his baby blue prize from Tulane's Closet and Fidose of Reality:

Since Toby doesn't like wearing clothes for fun (he's just a good sport in front of the camera - as long as treats are involved), and fortunately is also not anticipating any surgeries in the foreseeable future, I am donating his Cover Me by Tui to his veterinarians at Great Neck Veterinary Clinic. They will provide it to one of their post-surgical patients and I'm confident it will be greatly appreciated. I expect that a benefit to Tulane's Closet will be making the vets aware of this product so they can recommend it to all of their canine clients.

In case you were wondering, here are the photos I submitted to Fidose of Reality of Toby in his "boxers":

Thank you again to Carol for a fun photo contest and to Tulane's Closet for providing a Cover Me by Tui to the winners!

  4. Oh Congrats Toby! I think this product looks like a really cool idea actually. I once met a lady who's dog was itching a lot so she made her wear big t-shirts. I bet something like this would have come in handy for that.

donating your prize is such a nice thing to do. i'm sure whoever ends up with it will really appreciate it. wouldn't it be nice if they also did a random act of kindness for a stranger? hopefully this will start a chain of good deeds.

  7. That is so nice of you to donate it so some dog can avoid the Cone Of Shame! Toby looks adorable in his outfit. I sometimes put clothes on my little dog. She usually just stares at me really hard, like, "You're lucky I put up with this nonsense!"
