It's the photoperiod (hours of daylight) that tell the plants and birds that it's spring. More reliable for them than using temperature (like us) but I sure hope they can find enough food with all the snow.
That's the way it's been here too. 40* days and then frigid cold winds and snow. Wish mother nature would make up her mind already - AND that she decides it is spring and not winter.
It is crazy weather season!
ReplyDeleteHaha! CWS from September to May. AC season from May through August...
DeleteIt looks like WinRing...the last of Winter with a hint of Spring!
ReplyDeleteI like that!
DeleteUsing Sprinter would be confusing :)
We know the feeling! It keeps snowing here when we really are ready for signs of spring! We can hear the robins singing, but the snow keeps piling up!

DeleteWe are hoping for spring real soon. We just got 10 inches yesterday. Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteThe snow is pretty when it comes down though.
DeleteTalk about your mixed messages! The daffodils are lovely, but the house is cold so I think I'll choose the fire. :)
ReplyDeleteSometimes I almost feel bad for the daffodils when I look outside. They should have come up in Dec. when it was warmer!
DeleteThose flowers are very pretty, did you get them for your Mom?
ReplyDeleteWags to all
Your pal Snoopy :)
In Michigan Spring doesn't arrive until April 15...(if we are lucky) :)

ReplyDeleteBeen wondering that myself!
